Analysing Culture in London using Social Media Data
Lumiere London 2018
Lumiere was a huge public art event where 50 public artworks were installed across six districts in London lasting from Thursday 18th to Sunday 21st January with over 1 million people attending! I collected 11,000 tweets and 5,000 images from Flickr and used computer vision and natural language processing to analyse the data.
London Design Festival 2018
London Design Festival is one of the largest and most diverse design festivals in the world. I collected 11,000 tweets using #LDF18 via the Twitter API and analysed them using machine learning and natural language processing.
Frieze London 2018
Frieze London is one of the world’s largest Contemporary Art fairs. It takes place every year in October in Regent’s Park in London. I analysed 5.6K Instagram Posts and 3.2K Tweets about the fair with the #frieze using machine learning and natural language processing.
